Harry drove slowly down Wells Street, squinting to read the house numbers, when he spotted Sallys blue Subaru parked in the driveway and a red Camaro parked out front. He was able to make out “416” painted on the curb.

The house was stone. Long front porch. Chipped paint on the eaves. Cracks in the front steps.

The drapes were pulled in the living room and the blinds pulled on the other windows. He wondered who the red Camaro belonged to. He knew Sally was divorced.

Harry turned off the motor and put his hands in the pockets of his hunting jacket. At least he knew where she lived now. Eventually, whoever was in there would have to leave.
